FAQs
What is Ig?
Immune globulin is a sterilized solution made from healthy blood plasma used to treat patients with decreased or abolished antibody production capabilities
How Does it Work?
Immune globulin can be administered subcutaneously (SCIG) or intravenously (IVIG). In patients who have a decreased immune system, immune globulin (IG) can be used to provide the antibodies they need to ward off infection. In patients with autoimmune diseases, immune globulin can help regulate an overactive immune system by slowing it down or stopping processes causing inflammatory reactions.
What are the indications?
Where is the service offered?
AmeriPharma’s home infusion services are available in multiple states throughout the US. We are fully licensed and able to extend our services in the areas marked in blue in the map below
Do you provide SCIG for CIDP & Myasthenia Gravis?
Yes! We’re experts in getting prior authorizations for SCIG treatment of these autoimmune diseases. Self-injected SCIG treatments give patients more freedom, allowing them mobility instead of having to stay in-home for treatment.
How long does IVIG take to administer?
It usually takes between 4 to 6 hours to infuse Ig depending on the product and the method of administration.
Do you have an infusion center?
Yes, our AmeriPharma Infusion Center is located in Orange, CA.
How long does prior authorization take?
Our prior authorization process takes an average of 72 hours or less.
How long will it take to receive my medication?
We are able to overnight ship medication from our headquarters in Orange, CA. In some urgent cases, we can deliver on the same day we place the order.
