溃疡性结肠炎

Ulcerative colitis (UC) is a disease that affects your large intestine, or colon. It causes irritation and swelling called inflammation. UC is a type of inflammatory bowel disease, but it’s different from other diseases with similar symptoms, like Crohn’s disease or irritable bowel syndrome.

Common symptoms can include:

  • 腹泻
  • 腹痛
  • Extreme tiredness
  • Unintended weight loss
  • Blood and mucus in your feces (stools)

治疗

While there is currently no cure, treatments help stop the inflammatory process and relieve any symptoms. Treatments offered include steroid medication; medication to reduce inflammation; and medication to suppress the immune system.
