It is a lab-created form of factor VIII, also known as recombinant antihemophilic factor.&nbsp;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Because the active ingredient is conjugated with a <a href=\"https:\/\/www.news-medical.net\/life-sciences\/What-is-Polyethylene-Glycol-(PEG).aspx\">polyethylene glycol<\/a> molecule, Esperoct stays in the body longer than standard half-life factor VIII products. This extends factor VIII activity in the body.&nbsp;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Esperoct belongs to the drug class called coagulation factors or hemostatics.&nbsp;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">A healthcare provider may prescribe Esperoct for adults and children with hemophilia A to:<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>Treat and control bleeding episodes&nbsp;<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Manage bleeding around surgery&nbsp;<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Provide routine prophylaxis to reduce the frequency of bleeding episodes&nbsp;<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">This medication should not be used to treat <a href=\"https:\/\/ameripharmaspecialty.com\/zh\/%e8%a1%80%e5%8f%8b%e7%97%85\/%e8%a1%80%e7%ae%a1%e6%80%a7%e8%a1%80%e5%8f%8b%e7%97%85%e4%b8%8e%e8%a1%80%e5%8f%8b%e7%97%85%ef%bc%9a%e7%97%85%e5%9b%a0%e3%80%81%e7%97%87%e7%8a%b6%e3%80%81%e8%af%8a%e6%96%ad%e5%92%8c%e6%b2%bb%e7%96%97\/\">\u8840\u7ba1\u6027\u8840\u53cb\u75c5<\/a> \uff08\u8840\u7ba1\u6027\u8840\u53cb\u75c5\uff09\u3002.&nbsp;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h2 id=\"h-mechanism-of-action\" class=\"wp-block-heading\"><span class=\"ez-toc-section\" id=\"Mechanism_of_Action\"><\/span>\u4f5c\u7528\u673a\u5236<span class=\"ez-toc-section-end\"><\/span><\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">People with hemophilia A have deficient or dysfunctional clotting factor VIII. Factor VIII is necessary for the blood-clotting process. It is available in nominal dosage strengths of approximately 500, 1,000, 1500, 2,000, 3,000, 4,000, and 5,000 International Units (IU) per vial. Seek emergency medical care if you develop symptoms of a severe allergic reaction such as itching, hives, tightness of the chest, wheezing, or facial swelling. Call your healthcare provider immediately if your bleeding does not stop after taking Esperoct.
