It is unknown if this medication harms your unborn baby.&nbsp;<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Are breastfeeding. It is unknown if this medication is present in breast milk, and if it can harm the baby.&nbsp;<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\"><span class=\"ez-toc-section\" id=\"Altuviiio_Introduction_and_Uses\"><\/span>Altuviiio Introduction and Uses<span class=\"ez-toc-section-end\"><\/span><\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p>Altuviiio injection is a brand-name prescription product. It contains the active ingredient \u201crecombinant clotting factor VIII\u201d, also called the recombinant antihemophilic factor. Altuviiio belongs to a class of medications called antihemophilic factors.&nbsp;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>A healthcare provider may prescribe this medication for children and adults with hemophilia A to:&nbsp;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>Control and prevent bleeding episodes<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Prevent bleeding during surgery<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Reduce the frequency of bleeding episodes<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<p>In people with hemophilia A, blood doesn\u2019t clot properly because they have a deficiency of coagulation factor VIII. They are:<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li><strong>Fc Fusion, <\/strong>which helps Factor VIII recirculate in the blood.&nbsp;<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li><strong>XTEN Technology, <\/strong>which helps prevent the early breakdown of Factor VIII.&nbsp;<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li><strong>vWF Fragments, <\/strong>which help Factor VIII stay longer in the blood.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<p>Altuviiio\u2019s half-life is three to four times greater than other Factor VIII products.
