Dosage for Perioperative Management of Bleeding<\/h3>\n<p>During minor and major surgical procedures, Afstyla is used to maintain the FVIII activity levels at or above the target range, which are as follows:<\/p>\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>During minor surgical procedures (e.g., tooth extraction), to keep FVIII activity levels between 30 and 60 IU\/dL, the drug is administered every 24 hours for at least a day until healing is complete.<\/li>\n<li>During major surgical procedures (e.g., hip replacement surgery or brain surgery), to keep FVIII activity levels between 80 and 100 IU\/dL, the drug is administered every 8 to 24 hours until recovery is complete. The treatment should be administered for at least another 7 days to keep FVIII activity levels between 30 and 60 IU\/dL.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<\/div>\n<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t<\/div>\n\t<\/div>\n<\/div>\n\n\n<div  id=\"copay-side-effect-list-2d458cb6ed8bd83d8b18b4a6ee14aa74\" style=\"\" class=\"copaySideEffectList\">\n\t<div class=\"container\">\n\t\t<h2 class=\"title\">Afstyla Side Effects<\/h2>\n\t\t<div class=\"content  sideEffectList\" id=\"sideEffectList\">\n\t\t\t<p>Afstyla has fewer side effects compared to other available factor VIII medications.<\/p>\n<p>The drug\u2019s safety profile was evaluated in one of the largest FVIII clinical trial programs, including 258 hemophilia A participants.
