Bevacizumab is currently only available as the brand Avastin, and there is no generic available. It also has two approved biosimilars called\u00a0<a href=\"https:\/\/www.zirabev.com\/\">Zirabev<\/a>\u00a0and\u00a0<a href=\"https:\/\/www.mvasi.com\/hcp\">Mvasi<\/a>. Do not use and discard if the solution in the vial appears cloudy, discolored, or contains particulate matter. Do not administer or mix with dextrose-containing solutions. Avastin is typically administered once every 2 or 3 weeks, depending on the reason for use.<\/p>\n<blockquote><p>The initial dose of the intravenous injection should be infused over 90 minutes, and the second infusion can be administered over 60 minutes if the initial dose is well tolerated. The third and any subsequent infusions may be administered over 30 minutes if the 60-minute infusion is well tolerated. Infusion time should not be less than 30 minutes. If Avastin is administered with other medications, consult with your provider on which medication should be administered first. In some cases, premedication may be required to prevent a side effect from happening.<\/p><\/blockquote>\n<h4><b>Missed Dose<\/b><\/h4>\n<p>If a dose is missed, contact your physician immediately to reschedule.<\/p>\n<h4><b>Storage<\/b><\/h4>\n<p>Store intact vials in their original cartons in the refrigerator. Do not freeze or shake, and protect from light.
